Operating the soundboard
this is the soundboard - X32
A: select the “vocals” control layer
B: these are the microphone channels #27 & #28 - be sure they are not mute. use the faders (sliders) to adjust channel level
C: this is the main volume slider. Board boots up with it at 0, so you’ll need to push it about halfway up.
D: this is the audio control if videos are being played from the computer
In the drawer in the AV cart, you’ll find two microphones, and the remote to turn on the projector.
Use mic #27 for the podium. #28 can be used for anything else.
Mics turn on with a switch on the bottom. Red light means ON.
The mic stand is in the closet to the right of the stage.
IF SPEAKER HAS A POWERPOINT:
Projector turns ON/OFF with remote.
ON: Point remote at projector and hit “on” once. After about a minute you’ll see light in the lens.
OFF: point remote at projector and hit “off” TWICE.
Life will be easiest if speaker can load Powerpoint onto church computer.
If they have a Google Slides presentation, login to their Google account from church computer.
If they absolutely must use their own laptop, you can connect it to the projector by taking the HDMI cable from the back of the church computer and plugging it into the speaker’s laptop.
Church computer is on AV cart. Keyboard and mouse are on slide-out drawer.
Computer’s ON button is hard to see. Look for the white tape.
This is the password to login to the computer. Go ahead and load speakers powerpoint directly onto this computer.
